Kerten Hospitality – Operator of International Hotels Enters Georgia

Kerten Hospitality, operator of international hotels has entered Georgia. According to BMG, two hotels will open in Tbilisi and Kvareli under the management of Kerten Hospitality in 2019 and 2020. Namely, a 17-suite hotel will open in Tbilisi and 80-suit hotel will open in Kvareli.

“Kerten Hospitality is interested in Georgian tourism sector and besides two these projects, other projects are also planned in Tbilisi and various regions of Georgia. The planned hotels will offer authentic and different concept and recreational experience to their visitors”, SavvY company representatives noted and added that Kvareli hotel business plan was prepared by a private order of the investor.

At the same time, the company explains that the hotel complex concept calls for arranging modern spa center and modern exhibition centers in Kvareli.
In December 2018, as of December 2017, the hotel price index in Georgia increased by 1%. Due to regions, the highest rise in prices was recorded in Adjara (21.1%) and Samtskhe-Javakheti (14.8%), whilst in Tbilisi hotel prices declined by 9.8%.

The mentioned contraction is mainly precondition by declining prices at 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels, whilst in Tbilisi prices at 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels have declined by 14.7% and prices of guesthouses have increased by 9%.

It should be noted that in Tbilisi, over the past period, the booking.com has registered a 46% upturn rise in number of 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels, whilst the number of guesthouses has increased by 19.1%.
