Kaspi Cannery Expands its Exporting Opportunities

Kaspi Cannery is working on the expansion of export markets. This year, the company exported a trial batch of locally produced products to Canada and Kazakhstan.

According to Zurab Uchumbegashvili, the managing partner of Kaspi Cannery, the production is mainly exported to the US, Israel, and European countries.

"We have exported small volumes to Canada as well and we received a good response. We think that a few more batches will be sent during the year. Mainly sauces, pickles - jonjoli, thorn, garlic, and also a part of jams, which are exotic for Canada, were exported to the latter country.

With the help of the diplomatic corps, we sent a small amount of the products of the Kaspi Cannery to Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has a population with purchasing power, but it is quite a competitive environment in terms of product sales. We have sent various sauces and Ajika to Kazakhstan."
