Justin Timberlake Draws 55,000 Fans in Tbilisi, Including 20,000 Tourists — Starring Georgia Highlights Economic Impact

According to Tsitsi Iashvili, manager of Starring Georgia, 20,000 tourists visited Georgia for the concert of American musician Justin Timberlake, which attracted a total of 55,000 attendees.

She emphasized that Georgia has proven itself as a competitive player on the global entertainment map, with a positive impact on the country’s economy.

“All kinds of businesses used the Justin Timberlake concert as a starting point. Many cafés hosted post-concert events, clothing stores curated looks specifically for the concert, and on July 22 and 23, it was impossible to book a room in a 4- or 5-star hotel in Tbilisi. We even saw crowding at the Georgian border. All of this demonstrates the entertainment industry’s — and Starring Georgia’s — powerful influence on the Georgian economy. An event of this scale was held without a single organizational issue despite the heat and size of the crowd. This marks a new level of professionalism and ambition,” said Iashvili.

She also noted one of the industry’s key challenges: the lack of an indoor concert venue in Tbilisi. “We hope this issue will be addressed soon,” she added.

Starring Georgia was launched as a government initiative to promote the country’s tourism, economic, and cultural potential internationally while hosting major music events.

As a reminder, Justin Timberlake’s concert took place on July 23 at the Dinamo Arena. Timberlake — a globally recognized musician, producer, composer, and actor — has sold over 54 million albums and 63 million singles worldwide. He first rose to fame 30 years ago as a member of the iconic boy band NSYNC, with whom he sold over 70 million records.

His latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, includes 18 new tracks, among them the hit singles Selfish and No Angels.
