Intelligent Transport System to Introduce in 2022
The introduction of an intelligent transport system will start in 2022.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi, Irakli Khmaladze, the system will aim to increase safety on the roads, reduce traffic jams and travel time, and improve the ecological state of the country.
He also noted that the smart transport system is able to identify special vehicles such as public transport, ambulance, rescue, and fire transport, prioritize them and release special corridors to move them quickly.
