Hotel to Open on the Territory of Ghvinis Karkhana N1
A new hotel will launch operation on the territory of Ghvinis Karkhana N1, one of the special locations of Tbilisi. The multifunctional space opened in 2017 and the four-floor hotel will function at the auxiliary building of the complex.
Tbilisi Municipal Office of Architecture has already issued a license for reconstruction and adaptation of the building. The project was ordered by Archil Ivardava. Nikoloz Lekveishvli is the architect.
The existing infrastructure will be partly dismantled. One underground, two full and one mansard floors will be added to the building.
The hotel will comprise four aboveground, one mansard and 1 underground floors. A kitchen will be located on the underground floor to serve Sio café on the wine factory territory. The complex will also include a conference room and WCs.
The territory of Ghvinis Karkhana N1 is a special space in Tbilisi. The building was designed by Aleksadre Ozerov and financed by David Sarajishvili. The building was recognized as the cultural heritage monument. The territory was closed for tourists for many years. In 2017, the territory was transformed into a multifunctional space for domestic population and tourists, together with restaurants, cafes and bars, culinary school, big wine market, store of Georgian designers, space of art and bakery.
