Honey Produced in Pshavi to Enter Georgian Market
A sole-trader, Giorgi Kobaidze who produces honey in the village of Nedzikhi, in Pshavi, plans to launch the product on the market.
As a son a beekeeper, Mikheil Kobakhidze mentioned, they started their business after three years of planning, preparation, reading the relevant literature and research.
"My father has been living in Pshavi for more than 10 years. He started the business with two beehives and currently, he has 40 bee families, which allows him to produce 300-500 kilograms of honey in one year.", noted Mikheil Kobaidze with BusinessPartner.
According to him, as the produced honey is given in minimal amounts, the family was selling it locally, throughout the region. Now, the demand is high and they plan to expand their production. As a result, honey may be sold with its packaged form in different networks throughout the country.
The price of 1 kilogram of honey produced in the village Nedzikhi is 25 GEL.
