Herbia Plans to Open Museum of Rural Evolution

Herbia, one of the largest producers of herbs and vegetables in the country, plans to open a "Museum of Rural Evolution". The idea for the project came about two years ago and will receive its first guests in September. Agro-tourism space will be arranged in Tskaltubo.

"The construction works were started two years ago. As time passed, the demand increased, so we decided to create something new - the Museum of Rural Evolution. Here, 300 years of history will be presented - how our ancestors lived in the village and how we live today. All the necessary infrastructure will be arranged on the territory of Herbia, as well as master classes on the preparation of various Georgian dishes will be held. We teach everyone how to make khinkali or bake khachapuri, etc. We will offer Georgian wines to customers, including our bio wine. We have cultivated vineyards in our greenhouses, from which we will be able to harvest about 20 tons of grapes. Initially, the hotel will not be on-site, although work is underway in this field. We will probably open a hotel next spring as well.", noted Davit Janelidze, manager of Herbia.

15-20 people will be employed in the agrotourism space and Herbia will invest up to 1 million GEL for the arrangement of the cellar.

Herbia grows about 2,000 tons of herbs and vegetables a year in a greenhouse. The company sells its products in local and international markets.
