Government to Assist Georgian Scientists in Commercializing Their Inventions

Tamar Razmadze, founder of Leterato informal education space has positively appraised the Economy Minister’s statement on promoting the commercialization of inventions of Georgian scientists.

The essence of an invention implies that the wide society should be able to use them. Therefore, the commercialization of inventions is a wonderful initiative, she said. “Many wonderful inventions may be waiting on shelves. Inventors should be able to transform their inventions into real products. Naturally, serious resources are required. Therefore, many worthy projects may remain on shelves without commercialization. All important projects need serious financial and marketing resources”, Tamar Razmadze said.

As noted by Economy Minister Natia Turnava, the Government will assist Georgian scientists and researchers in commercializing their inventions through the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA). “This is a good bridge between science and business. Our inventors develop genuinely unique products and technologies. We will help them attract interested investors and contribute to the development of our economy”, Economy Minister Natia Turnava said.
