GHG Delisting from the London Stock Exchange is a Tactical Move - Nikoloz Gamkrelidze
The General Director of the Georgian Healthcare Group explains the reasons for the delisting from the London Stock Exchange.
According to Nikoloz Gamkrelidze, this was a tactical move by the company. "It was a more tactical decision because globally, due to macroeconomic changes, both the Georgian Healthcare Group and the Georgian capital would shrink, and consequently, the Georgian Healthcare Group itself would be less liquid.
We decided to create one of the two companies bigger and more liquid. This fact was also welcomed by the shareholders as 97% supported this decision. The stock market allows us easy access compared to equity. This opportunity still remains within the capital of Georgia. It will be a bigger company, which investors will look at more actively due to its size and will actively invest money in it, ”Gamkrelidze explained.
The company was listed in the premium category on the London Stock Exchange in 2015 and attracted $100 million from investors.
