Georgian Textile Supplies 500,000 Facemasks to Government Every Day
Every day Georgian Textile supplies 0.5 million disposable facemasks to the Georgian government, for 18 Tetri each, the company director Irakli Gvenetadze told Business Partner.
Till May 2020, the company used to produce only multilayer gauze facemasks, however, thanks to new machineries, Georgian Textile started production disposable facemasks, he said.
Primarily, construction companies use reusable facemasks.
“At this stage, we do not produce reusable facemasks, because we have stored 3 million units”, Gvenetadze said.
The country will not lack facemasks. We export facemasks to foreign markets, including to the USA and Europe, he said.
Georgian Textile was founded in 2018 as a subsidiary of LLC Miller Industrial Group. The company holds an enterprise in both Tbilisi and Tkibuli. At this stage, the company employs 300 persons.
