Georgian Products Renaissance Expands Export of Georgian Hazelnuts

Hazelnut processing company Georgian Products Renaissance expands the number of countries in which Georgian hazelnuts are exported.

The product will be sold in Austria, Czech Republic and several other countries.

The founder of the company noted, that compared to last year, they will receive more harvest this year. As for the price, as the founder stated, the quality of hazelnut currently is good, harvest also came in large quantities, therefore, the price of 1 kg will be approximately 4-4,5 GEL.

"In some cases, we have damaged hazelnuts, but their amount is small. We received 3000 tons of primary goods, which means 1200 tons of shelled hazelnuts. Perhaps, because of pandemic, the product was left for sale because of nearly non-existent demand.", declared Baia Salukvadze, founder of Georgian Products Renaissance.

The factory was founded in 2013. Georgian Products Renaissance buys hazelnut from Georgian peasants and farmers and sells them in different countries, such as Germany, Italy, France, Poland, countries of South America, China, and Middle Asia.

"We are actively involved in the process, we constantly check the quality of nuts. We will start receiving products from farmers next week.", stated Baia Salukvadze.
