Georgian Products Plans to Export Dog Food to the EU Market
Georgian Products plans to export dog food made from Black Sea fish to the EU market.
As the founder of the company, Davit Bardavelidze mentioned, the country has the right to export animal products to the European Union, and this allows the company to sell products made from Black Sea raw materials in the European Union countries.
"Georgia has obtained the right to sell processed animal products in the European Union. Our company started the production of animal feed from chicken breast, but since they have already allowed Black Sea fish, we will be more competitive here, because we will use our Black Sea raw materials, unlike chicken. Therefore, we will initially sell the food made from European anchovy in the European Union, and then in the US."
In addition to the production of pet furniture and food, the company also started manufacturing toys for pets. According to Davit Bardavelidze, Georgian Products will be represented in international markets in this direction in two years.
Georgian Products manufactures more than a million units of animal furniture annually. Last year, the company received 90 million GEL from exports. Currently, up to 600 people are employed in the enterprise of the company.
