Fruit and vegetable export company Frutilia has launched Georgian peaches and apples on the European market.
As Vakhtang Bezhitashvili, the founder of the company declared, the first 20-tons container loaded with Georgian peaches and apples is already on the Polish border.
"For years we were trying to find partners on European market, but for some reason, we could not export Georgian agricultural products. After all these years, the first load is already passed. 20 tons are not much, but at this moment, we are in a process of adapting to European market and we must not stop trying. We already prepared the second container and after the confirmation of the first load, we are ready to send the second one.", noted Vakhtang Bezhitashvili.
The founder of the company hopes, that Georgian production will arrive at their destination on time.
Frutilia has 15 years of experience working on the market. In spite of signing a profitable trade agreement with the EU on June 27th, 2014, the company exported its products only to post-Soviet countries so far. Finally, in 2020, Georgian peaches and apples were exported for the first time on European market in Poland.
