Georgian Brand Nair Nairi Plans to Export to Azerbaijan and Germany
Georgian brand Nair Nairi, which makes socks, laces, and T-shirts with different designs, plans to export its products despite the pandemic.
"The pandemic has deeply affected our sales. We had to close down our stand in the mall, we also suspended online sellings for several months. People had no time nor finances for socks, laces, and T-shirts. We planned to export, however, we were delayed in this regard as well. We do not have a stand at the time, but purchasing our products is available in several places. As for the T-shirts and socks, they are sold online.", declared creative director of Nair Nairi, Giorgi Khergiani.
The company already started negotiations with Azerbaijan and Germany, according to which, the sale of laces and socks should have started in August in Berlin.
"We were planning to export our products to Baku, Azerbaijan. However, there is also a difficult situation, the same goes with Berlin. This process is delayed due to coronavirus and we are waiting for the situation to stabilize. During the pandemic, we had to cut only those who worked on the stand. The rest of the team members are together again. The sales are relatively decreased, at this moment, we've stopped advertising as well. It is a difficult situation because of the pandemic and we try to relax. The city is empty and people are oriented on their vacations. We will continue intensive communication from September.", noted Giorgi Khergiani.
The company Nair Nairi produces socks in Georgia, but T-shirts and laces are arriving from China and their design is made and packed on-site.
