Georgian Bicycle Group to Open First Mini Bicycle Base
Georgian Bicycle Group will launch the first mini-bicycle base nearby Lisi Lake. As the company founder Beka Kiknavelidze told Business Partner, Georgian Bicycle Group has bought a space of 250 hectares to arrange a combined base of bicycles, service centers, and production of electric bicycles. The base will open in October, he said.
“The project calls for developing the culture of the bicycle in Georgia, including opening premium bicycle workshops, service centers for e-bicycles, laboratory for the production of electric bicycles. We are ready to launch assembling Georgian bicycles if the global manufacturers supply due parts”, Kiknavelidze said but refused to reveal the project’s investment value.
The project will be supported by TBC Bank. The bicycle base will provide top-quality services and accent will be made on clients’ needs and international orders, he said. “To attract international orders, we should manufacture premium-class products. A lot of challenges are ahead. Global manufactures are growing output and we have to overcome growing competition”, Kiknavelidze said. Founded in 2011, Georgian Bicycle Group and its affiliated store BIKE.GE launched Georgia’s first specialized store for imported professional bicycles.
