Geo Sky Purchases New Cargo Aircraft
Demand, capacity and pricing in the air freight market are beginning to stabilize. Industry experts say negative factors stemming from the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, including high aviation fuel prices, are on the way to regulation.
For the last month, the price of aviation fuel has been decreasing in the international market, which will obviously have a positive effect on the price of cargo transportation in Georgia. In the background of all this, the number of cargo planes in our country is also increasing. The first Georgian airline Geo Sky, which performs regular cargo flights from China to Tbilisi and from Tbilisi to Europe, specifically Frankfurt, purchased a new cargo aircraft.
The Near East, China, and European countries - will be the destinations where Geo Sky's new ship will carry cargo. Currently, the Georgian company owns 3 types of ships - two of them - Boeing 747, and one Boeing 757. In the near future, it is planned to import another medium-sized ship, since the demand for this type of aircraft in terms of cargo transportation has increased.
