Fitness Center Rules and Regulations During Pandemic

"Fitness halls have already been opened in some European countries and the United States, which has helped us prepare for new standards," Giorgi Asatiani, director of the Oktopus Fitness Club, told Radio Palitra.

According to him, due to the current situation, the financial losses were very large and the representatives of the sector have already addressed the government with some recommendations on how to promote the economic activity in this area.

"We have been working for several weeks now on new standards. I can tell you a few standards that are adopted in Western countries. One is the issue of cleaning. In this regard, the standards are relatively strict, which means, for example, that deep cleansing and disinfection should be done three times a day and once a night. This will naturally affect the work or operating hours.

As for the customer's visit to the fitness club, the temperature will be checked, there will be a disinfection barrier, as well as machine for the shoe covers. There are initiatives to eliminate showers in the dressing room, however, in some places every second closet is canceled, there are signs on the floor, on the walls, on the chair to keep the social distance. In the case of group exercises such as yoga, Pilates, etc. Everyone has reduced customer access.

As for the financial loss, spring can be said to be the financial backbone that covers the fall seasons, hence the loss was huge. The benefits imposed by the government on the income tax portion, of course, have allowed us to retain all employees. In addition, we have already approached the government with several companies - how can the state help this sector, one of which is the issue of abolishing the VAT tax, "- said Asatiani.
