Doctor Goods Company to Launch Exports of Surgical Drape Sheets

Doctor Goods Company has replaced imports of surgical drape sheets by domestic production. The company is the first Georgian textile enterprise that opened in September 2019 and offers various surgical drape sheets to the medical sector.

The company also plans to finish the process of obtaining ISO and CI certificates to open the second enterprise and launch exports to EU countries.

“After completion of ISO and CI certification process, we will launch exports to Europe. Initially, we will export our products to Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, and Hungary. The demand for our products already exists in these countries and we also have distributors there.

As for Great Britain, since this country has left the EU, the initial supply will be carried out to England after our products pass laboratory examination, without additional regulations”, Doctor Goods managing partner Mamuka Khaduri told BMG. As noted by Khaduri, Georgian surgical drape sheets are already exported to Kazakhstan and the USA. The demand for our products has also risen on the Chinese market amid the pandemic. As for neighboring countries, at this stage, the company has no plans to enter these markets, because: „Turkey protects its market strictly. Furthermore, there are burdensome taxes in the country and it is unreasonable to enter Turkish market”, Mamuka Khaduri noted.
