Diagonal Cumulation to Operate Between Georgia and Ukraine

The product in Georgia prepared by simple modification of raw material from the EU or Ukraine will benefit from free-market regime in Ukraine and EU export.

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development presented the report for ratification, which foresees forming appropriate negotiation between Georgia and Ukraine.

It is also worth mentioning, that membership of Regional Convention on Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Preferential Rules of Origin allows for using the global application of the rules of origin.

Specifically, the countries, which have free trade agreements with the European Union and with each other, according to the mentioned convention, can multilaterally benefit from Diagonal Cumulation Method. Georgia is a member of the convention since 2017.
