Davit Narmania met with the Heads of the Slovak Regulatory Office and the Ministry of Economy

The Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Davit Narmania, held meeting with the Head of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries of the Slovak Republic and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy.

The discussions took place in Považska Bistrica and were attended by Jubo Turashvili, Head of the Energy Policy and Investment Projects Department at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

During the official meeting, the two sides discussed the energy policies of their respective countries, explored mechanisms for advancing green energy development, and addressed the formation of an energy exchange. Davit Narmania highlighted the regulatory measures implemented by the GNERC to support the growth of renewable energy, outlined key aspects of the tariff policy, and emphasized the Commission's role in the broader development of the energy sector.

As per the agreement between the parties, senior officials from the Slovak Ministry of Economy and the Regulatory Office will visit Georgia in the nearest future to exchange experiences. Additionally, at next year's annual conference of the Energy Regulatory Regional Association (ERRA) in Bratislava, Davit Narmania is scheduled to present the experience of the GNERC and the effectiveness of its regulatory practices.
