Construction of Batumi Riviera Suspended due to the Pandemic

The construction of multi-functional complex Batumi Riviera by Silk Road Group is suspended due to the pandemic.

"Because of the pandemic, the construction works of Batumi Riviera are paused for several months, we are waiting for the stabilization, and reopening of tourism, and regarding this matter, there are no construction works underway currently. We did test pile foundations and then we had to suspend the building process. We do not plan to renew construction works until next year, and we are expected to continue it in 2022. As for the project, everything remains unchanged.", noted the director of Batumi Riviera with Commersant, Goga Kapanadze.

Batumi Riviera's project includes the development of the park on 2 hectares. The territory will become an internal part of the boulevard and it remains the status of the recreational zone. Silk Road Group creates its landscape design. The yacht club leased for 20 years is considered as part of the project. At the initial stage, we plan to invest $3 million, which will be distributed by Batumi Yacht Club and Silk Road Group.

The project also envisages the construction of a hotel and apartment complex, park, casino with a different concept, where it will be possible to arrange exhibitions and other events. They also plan to arrange cafes, restaurants and different kinds of facilities.
