Camex Airlines Expands to European Commercial Flights

"Camex Airlines", through its Slovenia-based CAMEX ADRIA Airline, has successfully acquired the rights to conduct commercial flights within the European Union, announced Giorgi Seturidze, Head of Investment Project at "Camex Airlines".

This marks a historic milestone in Georgian civil aviation, as it's the first instance of a Georgian-invested and managed airline in an EU member state completing the certification process to operate in the EU aviation market.

"This achievement is not just a significant stride for 'Camex Airlines', but also a catalyst for the Georgian aviation sector," said Seturidze. "It demonstrates the capability of Georgian airline businesses to meet the stringent standards of EU aviation regulations. This success is a testament to the potential within Georgian civil aviation."

The approval for EU commercial flights is seen as a natural progression for "Camex Airlines", exemplifying the fruitful collaboration between Georgian and American entities, supported financially by Gazelle Finance. This venture aims to optimize Georgia's potential as an aviation logistics hub.

Seturidze also noted the symbolic timing of this achievement with Georgia's recent progress in European integration, being granted EU candidate status. "This overlap is particularly meaningful to our team. We believe it heralds more significant European successes for the Georgian people in the future," he concluded.
