Cafe 'Dro' Opened in Vake: Nutritionists and Chefs Working Together

Healthy food cafe "Dro" was opened on Irakli Abashidze Street in Vake. The cafe is a subsidiary of BCA Healthy, a company that helps people become fit. Giorgi Vadachkoria, the co-founder of the company, told BM.GE that the request of BCA healthy customers to create a space where they could eat healthily to get the desired results gave rise to the idea of creating the "Dro" cafe.

As he explains, nutritionists participate in the creation of dishes together with the chefs, and this is the main niche of the cafe - there is a balanced amount of protein, fat, and carbohydrates in all dishes.

"We have the company BCA healthy, which helps people to become fit and creates special dishes for it. The desire of BCA healthy users to create a space where they could continue to eat healthy even after achieving the desired results, made us decide to create the "Dro" cafe. Our concept is, that we create healthy dishes that are not only without sugar or gluten, here the protein, fat, and carbohydrates are balanced in such a way that the body receives the required amount of nutrients. We are the only ones in Georgia who creates such a service," said Giorgi Vadachkoria.

According to him, the initial activity is higher than expected. Speaking about the challenges, the co-founder of "Dro" says that the main difficulty was setting an acceptable price for the dishes.

"The price of products needed for meals has increased a lot, but I always thought that healthy food should be affordable, so at the expense of our own profit, we set prices that would be acceptable to everyone. Currently, the price of our meals starts from 6-14 GEL, which we think is the most affordable in the field of healthy food," Giorgi Vadachkoria says.

As for the future plans, Giorgi Vadachkoria tells us that they will launch a delivery service and, in case of an increase in activity, after 6 months, they will add a new facility.
