In Q1, 2018, the turnover of the Georgian business sector increased by 27.5% compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to GEL 22.9 billion.
Production and rendered services amounted to GEL 9.5 million, which is 9.0% more than in the same period of 2017.
In the reporting period, large business accounted for 54.5% of the total turnover, 17.4% - medium, and 28, 1% - small business.
In terms of output and services, large business accounted for 41.3% , 24.8% - medium-sized, 33, 9% - small.
The total number of people employed in the private sector earned 663,8, which is 4.2% more than in the same period in 2017.
Out of the total number of employees, 42.3 percent are female and 57.7 percent are male.
