Business Ombudsman’s Office Examined 316 Cases in 2018
In 2018 the Georgian Bossiness Ombudsman’s Office prepared 167 mediations, conclusions and recommendations.
“The Business Ombudsman’s recommendations were fully or partly satisfied in 65% of the finished cases.
Adjara is the most active region, after Tbilisi, due to number of applications”, the Office representatives noted.
We remind you that in 2018, by the initiative of the Adjara Government chairman, the business ombudsman’s representation opened in Batumi and a representative of the Georgian Business Ombudsman was also appointed in the Region.
BM.GE was told at the Business Ombudsman’s office that the majority of applications were submitted for mediation with Ministry of Finance and the Finance Ministry subjected offices.
As to the 2019 period, the Business Ombudsman’s office assures that the flexible court system for efficient resolution of business disputes is a key challenge in terms of business environment, as well as bureaucracy in the middle chain of public sector and adequate and proportional regulations of business opportunities.
