Bright Minds: Pandemic and Remote Work Regime Changed Trends in Employment Market

The pandemic and the remote work regime caused by this period changed trends in the employment market. As Nino Berdznishvili, founder and director of the international recruiting company Bright Minds, explains to Business Partner, during this period there was a need for employees who were even more open-minded, flexible, highly adaptable and emotionally intelligent.

In particular, some functionalities/roles have been merged and largely given a hybrid look. A sense of responsibility, coexistence with new conditions, and finding solution variations have become vital not only for managers but for all positions.

According to Nino Berdznishvili, in recent years there has been great interest in the IT industry, in particular, programmers (developers) of different types and ranks. There is also an active interest in digital marketing, sales and related fields.

"During the pandemic, due to regulations and limited resources, there was a sharp decline not only in our segment and in the country, but also around the world. The entry of foreign business into Georgia has decreased by itself. However, bright-minded companies (so-called "Bright Minds") managed to find new opportunities and niches even during this period. To some extent, the intensification of online and home office work has blurred the physical boundaries for a number of companies and professionals. Therefore, the recruitment, as well as other services that we used to perform in the usual way, has changed and moved to the online space.

Bright Minds was the first to come up with the idea and concept of offering an online corporate event for companies. In addition, this year within the Bright Minds Academy we will facilitate the entry and establishment of two new specialties in Georgia, which have no analogues in our market yet, "- said Nino Berdznishvili.

As for the expectations, Berdznishvili explains that those professions, specialists and business sectors who will be able to reform, rearrange, adapt in a period of rapid change and make extraordinary decisions will "survive" and acquire new vital resources.

According to her, technologies and of course the Fintech field will become even more relevant and innovative.

"Along with Georgian, we are actively cooperating with foreign companies. The geographical map of our partners is quite extensive - USA, England, Italy, Lithuania, Turkey, Iran, Transcaucasian countries, etc. The situation before the pandemic was of course radically different, there was a growing demand, active interest in the Georgian market, the desire and opportunity for development, "- said Berdznishvili.

To remind you, Bright Minds was founded in 2016 as a result of merging Georgian and foreign experiences. The company brings together like-minded associates, professionals from different fields, who constantly go beyond the framework for the implementation of new ideas.

The field of activity of the company is recruiting and consulting. The first envisages both finding the best staff for specific vacancies for employer companies and a wide range of HR outsourcing services, as well as coaching, training and team building.

"As for consulting - in this regard we offer support to foreign companies to enter the Georgian market, starting with the registration of the company, ending with financial and legal support," - said the founder and director of the company.
