Biodiesel Production in Georgia to Increase 5 Times: "Biodiesel Georgia" Plans to Build a New Enterprise

The consumption and awareness of biodiesel in Georgia are increasing, and production will also increase in the near future.

The company "Biodiesel Georgia" plans to build a new plant, which is expected to operate next year. The new plant will be 5 times larger than the existing one and will be able to produce 500 tons of biodiesel per month. The site for the construction of the factory has already been selected.

According to the director of Biodiesel Georgia, Giorgi Topchishvili, "Biodiesel Georgia" collects used oil from restaurants and various enterprises and produces environmentally friendly biodiesel, a large part of which is exported to European countries, and a part is sold on the local market.

In the future, "Biodiesel Georgia" is considering further expansion in the local market and cooperation with big brands in terms of biodiesel sales.

As Giorgi Topchishvili further added, currently, "Biodiesel Georgia" has more than 2,000 clients throughout Georgia who donate used oil.
