Biodegradable Plastic Bag Company Eco Georgia Expands its Production

Biodegradable plastic bag company Eco Georgia expands its production and plans to increase the number of employees.

According to the director of the company, Gocha Karkarashvili, the company now employs 25 people, and by the end of the year, this amount will increase to 70.

The company Eco Georgia is located in Gori and is the first enterprise in Georgia which produces bioplastic granules, materials, which are used for preparing biodegradable plastic bags. The product is an alternative to polyethylene and fully complies with Government Resolution 472.

Eco Georgia used the loan co-financing component of the state program "Enterprise Georgia". The total investment of the company exceeded 3 million GEL.
