"Bayarena" Corn Field Day Organized by Agrosphere

On September 2, in the village of Chiauri, Lagodekhi district, Agrosphere held the "Bayarena" corn field day on farmer Mukhran Metreveli's plot. The event introduced invited farmers and agricultural enthusiasts from various regions of Georgia to new Dekalb corn hybrids, showcasing their characteristics and advantages. Additionally, agro-technical practices and innovative products needed for corn cultivation were presented.

“This meeting is crucial for educating and developing farmers. I’ve been working with Agrosphere for about 20 years, using their products like Dekalb seeds, Bayer pesticides, and Claas combines,” said farmer Ambrosi Macharashvili. He shared corn from his farm, noting that there wasn’t a single spoiled kernel, thanks to Agrosphere's products.

Dekalb, the world’s largest producer of corn hybrids, creates high-quality varieties tailored to the needs of different countries. In Georgia, Dekalb has worked with Agrosphere to develop hybrids adapted to local soil and climate conditions.

“Choosing the right varieties for Georgia is challenging because every region and village can be quite different. That’s why we continuously test Dekalb hybrids across Georgia to find the best fits for local conditions. Today, we introduced 13 new hybrids and shared their results with farmers,” said Miranda Shengelia, product manager for Agrosphere’s seed division.

Agrosphere aims to meet the evolving needs of farmers and bring innovations to the market. "Bayarena" serves as an important platform to introduce farmers to the latest developments in the industry.
