Another Factory "Georgian Textile" to Open Supported by TBC

A high-tech factory - Georgian Textile will be opened in Rustavi.

Georgian Textile is the fourth enterprise of Ajara Textile Group, which will employ approximately 2000 locals. Like other factories of the network, sportswear will be sewn at a new factory in Rustavi, which will be exported.

The price of the investment is 30 million GEL, of which 10 million GEL will be funded by the program of TBC- "Enterprise Georgia".

Georgian exporting company Ajara Textile has been involved in the textile industry since 2009 and has so far three factories in Batumi, Kobuleti, and Poti, employing a total of 3,500 people. The company sells sports products on the international market and cooperates with major sport brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Lotto, Erima, Under Armour, etc.

The group creates 10,000,000 units of sports products annually, therefore, opening a new factory in Rustavi will increase the production volume more.

"It is utterly important for TBC to support such businesses that develop high-quality national production and promote employment for locals. We are proud to make a contribution to creating the product, which exports on the international market under the "Made in Georgia" label. Thanks to Ajara Textile, many teams compete in football championships with the uniforms made in Georgia. In the current crisis, our main goal is to ensure further functioning of the business sector and generally the Georgian economy. We are glad, that despite the challenges and difficulties of the new reality, national production continues and expands.", noted Levan Shavkatsishvili, Head of Corporate Customer Service Department of TBC.
