Angus Group to Open First Brand Store of Premium-Line Stakes

"We cannot predict what is awaiting us ahead and whether the Government shuts down the economy again. These circumstances determine whether we open our first brand store within the planned timeframes," ANGUS Group founder Otar Kobakhidze noted.

The demand for our stakes grows. Therefore, we have expanded our farm and bought new cattle a week ago, Otar Kobakhidze noted. “ANGUS stakes are sought-after products on the market. The farm continues its usual operation. Furthermore, a week ago, we added 18 new Angus and now we have approximately 150 livestock. Indeed, the pandemic has narrowed our sales amid the first and second lockdowns, because the restaurant business was suspended. In spring 2020, our business almost zeroed.

Amid the second lockdown, we took efforts to activate sales through various online channels. We also launched cooperation with restaurants practicing delivery services. We cannot predict whether the Government closes us again. These factors determine whether we open our first brand store within the planned timeframes. We plan to open the first facility in September on Paliashvili Street in Tbilisi to sell our premium-line stakes.

Initially, I arranged a farm and started production of 16 varieties of stakes, but the time and experience have shown that not all stakes are in-demand products on the Georgia market, thereof, we reduced the assortment to 6 varieties. Prices range from GEL 59 to GEL 63”, Otar Kobakhidze said. Angus Group farm started operation in Martkopi in 2019. Initially, investments totaled GEL 2 million. At this stage, the company employs 4 persons.
