American Company Builds Bakhvi Hydroelectric Power Plant in Guria
The American company will build Bakhvi 1 hydroelectric power plant in Guria. The memorandum with the investor was signed today.
"This is 12 MW. power plant, where up to 300 people will be employed during the construction work and several dozen people after the completion of the project. This fact is important for several reasons: first of all, this is the new investment in Green Energy, while the whole world and Georgia among other countries try to combat the virus. Each new workplace created is of great importance for us. Secondly, this is one more successful example of economic cooperation with American company.", stated Natia Turnava.
Investor, who will allocate the money for the project, is an affiliate of the American Investment fund "Cerberus Capital Management" - "Cerberus Frontier Georgia".
The signing ceremony of the memorandum was held at the Rooms Hotel and was signed by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava and managing director of the company, "Cerberus Frontier Georgia", Mikheil Nibladze. The signing ceremony was attended by US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan.
