Agritourism: Preliminary Conclusions of ISET
The assessment of the impact of the regulation on the draft of agro-tourism will be published by ISET at the end of October.
As the senior researcher of the institute noted with Business-Partner, preliminary calculations show that an entrepreneur, who will decide to start an agritourism farm, must be registered. And after registration, the farmer will receive one-third of the annual income from the agritourism facility.
"We think of how much extra income farmers can get from tourism. We do not have complete data. About a third of a farmer's total income can come from tourism.", declared Ia Katsia.
According to her, the farmer will have to initially invest 20,000 GEL for agritourism.
"We think, that it should be also taken into account, that farmer will have to make an initial investment, which will be up to 20,000 GEL. This amount will include arranging guesthouse and hygienic norms. We are working with the committee of agrarian affairs on this matter.", stated senior researcher of AISET.
