Adjara Group Implements New Project "Radio City" in Tbilisi

Adjara Group is transforming the former radio factory in Tbilisi into a new creative economy platform. Due to the pandemic challenges, the project of "Adjara Group" "Radio City" may be changed, but its functional meaning will remain the same.

Industrial city, which is a child company of Adjara Group, plans to invest $8 million during the four years of implementing this project. The company purchased the territory for 23 million GEL on auction in 2019.

The project aims at integrating artists, manufacturers, educators, entrepreneurs, and professionals of diverse backgrounds into a synergistic ecosystem. Radio City‘s territory is an extensive 12 hectares, which will be used – amongst others – for international festivals, exhibitions, art fairs, artists residencies, co-working spaces, creative ateliers, and studios.

The representative of the holding mentioned, that Radio City is one of the most prioritized undergoing projects for both Adjara Group and Tbilisi's urban and sustainable development.

"We are working to adapt the concept of radio city development to the new circumstances, challenges, and unpredictable environment created by the Covid Pandemic. It may be necessary to make some changes to the project, but "Radio City" will retain the same functional basis.

Radio City is created and developed according to its phases. Therefore, developing the project involves several dates of its completion. In this context, it is vitally important that the multi-functional concept of the project is successfully implemented. Ensuring social, economic, and ecological sustainability is a priority for us in this process.", the company declares.

They are actively cooperating with Tbilisi City Hall.

"We receive qualified feedback and support, which makes it possible to implement the Radio City project as an important infrastructure facility in Tbilisi. The government understands the current situation and supports the private sector as much as possible through various mechanisms. That is why we believe that considering the existing challenges and with the help of the public sector, we, as the leading representative of the Georgian private sector, will be able to establish the Radio City of Tbilisi as one of the main centers of attraction.", noted the representative of Adjara Group.
