Adjara Energy-2007 to Import Electricity From Turkey
Adjara Energy 2007 will import electricity from Turkey.
The company submitted the best bid in ESCO tender. The company will import 120,35 million kWh from Turkey in November.
Georgia mainly purchases electricity from Russia or Azerbaijan.
About 60% of annual imports come from Azerbaijan and 40% from Russia.
"If the price proposed will be acceptable, we will have a third importer country of electricity, which will be Turkey. This will make a contribution to the market diversification process and consequently, to the country's energy security.", noted Zaza Dvalishvili, General Director of ESCO.
