37.3% of Hotels and Guesthouses Closed Down in Georgia Annually
The pandemic has significantly affected the tourism sector in Georgia. The number of guests visiting hotels in the pandemic 2020 decreased by 66.5%.

Most of the accommodated foreign guests were citizens of the Russian Federation and Israel (22.3% and 12.3%, respectively).
The number of hotel and hotel-type establishments in the country has decreased by 37.3% annually in 2020 and there were a total of 1,054 hotels and hotel-type establishments operating in the country.
