1000 Endemic Trees to Plant in Krtsanisi Forest Park

1000 different types of endemic trees will be planted in Krtsanisi Forest Park. The initiative will be launched within the framework of the project "Breathe for the Future". 

The project is initiated by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and coordination agency TIKA and is underway in 25 countries. 

The program started on November 11th last year. A total of 83 million seeds will be planted in participant countries. 

"Desertification is an important challenge. Therefore, we wish to stop this process by planting trees. Each tree is of great importance and this is not the part of populism. I will be delighted if I would see grown trees after 20 years in Krtsanisi Forest Park.", noted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Fatma Seren Yazgan.
