TBC Bank held Presentation on Macroeconomic Review

The presentation on macroeconomic review was initiated by TBC Bank at Hotel "Holiday Inn", where the Bank's customers received information about the main indicators, dynamics and forecasts in the direction of macroeconomics. The presentation was led by Otar Nadaraia, chief economist of TBC Bank.

The following issues were discussed at the presentation:

• Analyzing the international environment with regard to the importance of Georgia;
• Comparative risk assessment of euro and dollar;
• Economic growth and lari exchange rate forecasts;
• Lending trends and prognosis;
• Other topical issues

According to TBC Bank's review, significant foreign inflows to Georgia will be moderate in 2019. According to international forecasts, the second half of this year is more efficient. However, it is true that the slowdown in lending is expected, but the solid fiscal costs will be a significant balancing factor. As for the exchange rate, according to the basic scenario, the lari is strengthened, especially against the US dollar.
