Natia Turnava to Attend Annual International Monetary Fund and World Bank Meetings

The Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, is set to participate in the forthcoming annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. These meetings, which are a significant event in the global financial calendar, will be hosted in Marrakesh.

During her working visit, Turnava has a comprehensive schedule of meetings lined up. She is expected to engage with the IMF's Deputy Managing Director, Bo Li; the IMF's Executive Director, Paul Hilbers; and the Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, Jihad Azur. In addition, she will meet representatives from the Federal Reserve Bank, leadership from the International Central Depository Clearstream, heads of notable rating and investment firms, and delegates from global payment giants, Visa and Mastercard.

Turnava is also slated to attend an investors' conference facilitated by "Bank of America". Furthermore, she will participate in a high-level roundtable discussion convened by the IMF and a specialized gathering for Central Bank Governors and Finance Ministers from the Caucasus and Central Asia region.

The annual meetings, scheduled for October 11-14, will witness the presence of top management from both the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Additionally, economic teams from over 200 countries worldwide are anticipated to attend.
