Giorgi Vakhtangishvili Appointed as Director of Digital Banking Services at Bank of Georgia

Giorgi Vakhtangishvili has been appointed as the Director of the Digital Banking Services Department at the Bank of Georgia. He succeeds Levan Gomshiashvili, who will now oversee this division in his new role as General Director. 

Giorgi Vakhtangishvili joined the Bank of Georgia in 2020, initially serving as Deputy Director for Digital Technologies. In this role, he played a key part in the development of the bank’s digital products and services. With over 12 years of experience in digital product creation and development, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of the Bank of Georgia’s digital channels. His efforts have helped the bank achieve international recognition, earning numerous awards from leading global publications, including Global Finance, which named the Bank of Georgia the Best Digital Bank of 2024 in 45 categories. Notably, the bank was also recognized as the Best Digital Bank in the World.
