Bank of Georgia Supports the Construction of "Varketili Mall"

The Bank of Georgia continues its strong support for partner businesses, this time financing the construction of "Varketili Mall" in collaboration with the company "Urbaniki." The total cost of the project is $30 million, with the Bank of Georgia contributing $16.5 million to fund construction and renovation.

The new seven-story shopping center will be located near Varketili metro station, covering 40,000 square meters and featuring numerous international brands. Construction began in 2023 and is expected to be completed by 2025.

“We are thrilled to be involved in the development of another mall in Tbilisi, which will host a variety of international brands. The Bank of Georgia and Urbaniki have enjoyed a 20-year partnership, during which we’ve implemented several major projects together,” said Giorgi Sakhvadze, head of corporate sales at the Bank of Georgia.

Previous collaborative projects between the bank and Urbaniki include residential complexes near the Sports Palace, Akhmeteli metro, and in Vashlijvari and Mziuri, as well as a hotel in Abanotubani and several business centers around Tbilisi. Future developments are planned on Uznadze and Kostava streets.

Sakhvadze added, “We are proud to witness the continuous growth and success of the company, and we look forward to implementing many more projects together.”
