EU: We Welcome the Decision to Withdraw the Draft Law

The Representation of the European Union in Georgia issued a statement welcoming the decision made by the "Georgian Dream" party regarding the drafting of laws on the transparency of foreign influence, and urging the authorities to resume pro-European reforms in an inclusive and constructive manner, in line with the 12 priorities set by the EU, to enable Georgia to achieve candidate status.

"We applaud the ruling party's announcement on the draft law concerning foreign influence transparency. We call upon all of Georgia's political leaders to renew their commitment to inclusive and constructive pro-European reforms in alignment with the EU's 12 priorities, in order to enable Georgia to achieve candidate status," the statement read.
