With the aim of increasing the export potential of Georgian wine and diversifying markets, and with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, Georgian wine was presented over the first 11 months of 2025 at 36 exhibitions and festivals and at up to 300 tasting seminars across the United States, Europe, and Asia, covering more than 20 countries.
These countries included the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, South Korea, Norway, Poland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Brazil, Armenia, and Uzbekistan.
During the same period, 18 wine tours were organized in Georgia with the participation of international wine professionals. Within the framework of these tours, Georgian wines were tasted on-site by Masters of Wine, experts, sommeliers, and representatives of the commercial sector from Germany, Japan, China, Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, and the United States.
Under the State Program for Co-Financing Marketing Expenses, nine wine companies received a total of GEL 692,969 in co-financing in 2025. Marketing co-financing is provided only to companies that export to priority markets in various countries around the world, excluding CIS and GUAM member states.
It is also noteworthy that, within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine on the Domestic Market, wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals were held across Georgia. These events aim to promote Georgian wine, enhance wine tourism potential, and develop wine consumption culture. During the reporting period, 37 exhibitions and festivals were held in Georgia.
All of the above activities are implemented within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine, which has a budget of GEL 17.4 million for the current year—GEL 1.4 million more than the program’s budget in the previous year.
