With the Support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian Wine Promotion Events Were Held in 21 Countries in 2025
With the aim of increasing the export potential of Georgian wine and diversifying international markets, and with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, Georgian wine was presented in 21 countries worldwide in 2025 through 58 international exhibitions and festivals and 322 tasting and seminar events.
The participating countries included: the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, South Korea, Norway, Poland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Brazil, Armenia, Canada, and Uzbekistan.
In addition, 18 wine tours were organized in Georgia last year with the participation of international professionals, including Masters of Wine, wine experts, sommeliers, importers, HORECA sector representatives, and media professionals. These visits demonstrated strong interest in establishing new partnerships in Georgia, which is particularly important for increasing the visibility and export growth of Georgian wine. The wine tours were conducted with participants from Germany, Japan, China, Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, and the United States.
Within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine on the Domestic Market, a total of 32 events were held across Georgia, including 30 exhibitions and festivals and 2 competitions. These initiatives aim to promote Georgian wine, strengthen wine tourism potential, and support the development of wine consumer culture.
Under the State Marketing Cost Co-Financing Program, nine wine companies received a total of GEL 692,969 in co-financing in 2025. According to the program’s terms, these companies participated in international exhibitions and festivals, as well as various formats of Georgian wine promotion events. As a result of these marketing activities, the companies increased export volumes to markets in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Marketing cost co-financing is granted only to companies exporting to priority markets worldwide, excluding CIS and GUAM countries.
