Whether Global Blockchain Platform Can Replace Traditional Wine Markets

The global wine blockchain platform will replace the traditional wine markets in 10-20 years, Solomone winemaking company co-founder David Chachanidze told Business Partner.

Several days ago, Georgian wine Solomone was sold at the global wine Blockchain platform, Chachanidze said. Solomone wine was sold in Singapore, Chachanidze said but did not unveil the price referring to confidentiality.

“We placed the wine on Blockchain for test purposes. Next time, we will place more bottles. We believe this Blockchain will replace traditional market”, Chachanidze noted. Solomone’s Marani (wine cellar) is located in Chiatura. The company owns vineyards on 3 hectares but plans to expand the space to 10 hectares. As for Marani, its annual output is 55,000 bottles. Negotiations are underway to penetrate new export markets, including the USA and England. At this stage, the company produces 4 varieties of wines.
