TbilVino Teams up with Two New Partners in Great Britain

TbilVino will cooperate with two new partners in Great Britain, including, with high-class wine stores network Majestic Wines.

As TbilVino founder Zurab Margvelashvili told Business Partner, the company follows the export plan and prioritizes to maintain the current scales of sales.

“We export TbilVino wines to 30 countries and cooperate with approximately 70 partners. This year, we have started cooperation with two new partners in Great Britain. In the Canadian province of Quebec, we have exported the second batch of wines. We have attracted new partners on traditional makes such as Estonia, Belarus, and Britain and launched regular exports. We aim to maintain current scales of sales because there are many high-quality wines worldwide and the competition sharpens. We follow the export plan. The January-April sales have grown year on year, including in Georgia. The bulk of our wines is exported to Kazakhstan, Russia, Baltic countries.

In general, European countries hold 20% of our total sales. As for Russia, in general, the Russian market holds 70% in Georgian wine exports, but our company tries to keep this figure below 30%”, Zurab Margvelashvili said. TbilVino produces high-quality table wines, as well as high and medium-category unique Qvevri wines.

TbilVino has slightly increased prices on the domestic market, but maintained prices on the export market, Margvelashvili noted. “The pandemic has brought many difficulties and challenges, but we have adapted to these new circumstances. Despite an essential downturn in 2020, we ended the exports in plus and this fact balanced the general indicator. In 2021, we plan to improve both exports and domestic market sales”, TbilVino founder said.
