Shumi Wines Win Three International Golden Medals amid Pandemic
At the prestigious international contest, Citadelles Du Vin (France) Shumi wine company achieved the highest result.
Shumi wines such as Bio Saperavi Vinobiza - 2016, Premium-class Mukuzani Vinobiza – 2018 and Tsinandali Iberiuli – 2018 won the gold medals, while Bio Saperavi Vinobiza – 2016 won additional special award The Best Georgian Wine.
The best wines from 46 countries were estimated by wine professionals, oenologists, wine critics, and wine reporters. The contest was attended by Françoise Muriziet, president of VINOFED, the World Federation of International Contests of Wines and Spirits.
Victory in similar prestigious contests grows visibility of Georgian wines, popularizes them, and exports markets are also expanded.
Shumi winemaking company launched operation 23 years ago and has already won more than 270 international awards.
