With the financial support of the National Wine Agency and organized by its U.S. contractor marketing company Colangelo & Partners, three articles about Georgian wine will be published in the March print issue of one of the most competent and authoritative American wine magazines, Wine Spectator.
Georgia is featured on the magazine’s cover and is allocated a full advertising page, which is particularly significant for promoting Georgian wine and increasing its visibility in the strategic U.S. market. The online version of the magazine is already available.
The first article, titled “Shining a Spotlight on the Wines of Georgia,” provides an overview of Georgian wine.
“Georgian wines are entering a new phase. The Eastern European country, the birthplace of wine with an 8,000-year-old wine culture, is benefiting from significant growth in tourism, while its wide range of indigenous grape varieties, distinctive winemaking style, and hearty cuisine create fertile ground for adventurous enthusiasts,” the article states.
The author, Senior Editor James Molesworth, also discusses the second season of the Emmy Award-winning multilingual Apple TV series Drops of God, where Georgian wine is in the spotlight.

The second article, titled “The Supra: Feasting the Georgian Way,” is dedicated to the Georgian supra (traditional feast) and gastronomy. Written by Julia Larson, it highlights Georgian cuisine, traditional dishes, and the cultural importance of the supra.

The third article presents the scores awarded to Georgian wines. For the tasting, James Molesworth selected 56 Georgian wines, of which the highest score — 93 points — was awarded to “Khikhvi Kakheti 2023” by Andrias Wine. Out of 56 wines from 23 producers, 18 received 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale, which is considered an excellent result.
