With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by its U.S. partner company Saperavi Brothers, Georgian wine tastings were held at 20 retail locations across the state of Massachusetts, including chain supermarkets specializing in wine and food products as well as independent retail outlets.
As part of each event, five different Georgian wines from three wine companies were presented for tasting in designated promotional wine areas.
The series of Georgian wine promotional tastings organized by Saperavi Brothers began in July and continues throughout December.
Events of this format are consumer-oriented and aim to diversify Georgian wine export markets and support sales growth.
The United States is one of the key strategic export markets for Georgian wine. Since 2013, targeted marketing activities carried out with the support of the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to increasing both awareness and exports of Georgian wine in the U.S.
In the United States, the National Wine Agency implements Georgian wine marketing campaigns in cooperation with one of the country’s leading marketing companies, Colangelo & Partners. Within the framework of the campaign, tasting seminars for wine professionals and trade representatives are held in various U.S. cities; Georgian wine is presented at international exhibitions; and wine tours to Georgia are organized for media representatives, sommeliers, and sales professionals—contributing to broader recognition and promotion of Georgian wine on the American market.
In addition, to promote Georgian wine, the National Wine Agency cooperates with U.S. importer partners A.G. Global Trade LLC, Saperavi Brothers, Vinoveli Inc, Corus Systems Inc, Georgian House of Greater Washington LLC, and the marketing company Big Sky Ranch Inc.
