Stuttgart - A New Destination from Tbilisi International Airport

The German low-cost airline Eurowings made its first direct regular flight from Stuttgart to Tbilisi International Airport late at night.

From now on, the airline will launch Stuttgart-Tbilisi-Stuttgart flights twice a week. The first flight from Stuttgart had 155 passengers.

According to Tamar Archuadze, director of the Georgian Airports Association, active negotiations with the Eurowings airline company have been underway since 2017 in order to start direct air traffic to Georgia and increase the number of destinations.

"After Dusseldorf, the airline started operating to Tbilisi from another German city, Stuttgart. The Georgian Airports Association discussed the matters with the airline regarding the start of flights and the addition of destinations. We also had fruitful negotiations within the aviation forum Routes Europe 2022. As a result, the airline made a decision to add another destination in the summer of 2022.", noted Tamar Archuadze.

Eurowings entered Georgian aviation market in 2021 and operates Dusseldorf-Tbilisi-Dusseldorf flights twice a week.
